What Is a Backflow Preventer?
A backflow preventer is a valve that stops water from flowing backward through your plumbing. Without one, water from an irrigation system, boiler, or other connected source could flow back into the drinking water supply and contaminate it. The device only allows water to flow one way, out to those systems, never back in.

Installation
& Testing
We install new backflow preventers and test existing ones to confirm they're working properly. If a device fails testing or needs to be replaced, we handle that too.
Common Misconception:
Backflow Preventer or Backwater Valve?
They’re not the same thing. A backflow preventer protects your drinking water supply from contamination by preventing unwanted reverse flow into the potable water system. A backwater valve protects your property from sewage backing up through the drainage system. Both prevent flow from travelling in the wrong direction, but they protect completely different systems.
